Fun in Fall

We have had such a fun last month or so!

We went to the Pumpkin Patch just a few days before Halloween, and V had fun running through all the pumpkins, and throwing the hay everywhere. And of course, Mom and Dad had fun chasing her around!

On Halloween night Daddy was working, and Grammy was visiting. So we got Peanut all dressed up into her angel costume, and we visited him at the station... then came back home and had Halloween dessert... pie!

Then of course, on November 9th, Victoria Kay turned 2 years old! I cannot believe my baby girl is two!! What happened?? We had a party here at home with her friends, then went down south and had a party with family and more friends. I think we are partied out! Thank you to everyone who joined us, we had fun!! V has so many new books and toys, and cute things to wear.

So now we are reving up for Thanksgiving and Christmas, which will be here before we know it... followed by V's new baby sister!!

Pink Pink PInk!

On October 29th, Frankie and I went out to lunch before going to a 4D ultrasound, just for fun. While at lunch we talked about how maybe it would be fun to find out the sex and experience it that way... since we waited with Victoria. So at about 3:00pm, Frankie and I looked in surprise at the ultrasound screen that showed us we were having another little girl. I couldn't believe it. Our little Peanut is going to have a sister. After the shock wore off, I was simply ecstatic. I am going to be the mother of two little girls! And V will have a sissey! I always wanted a sister, and I am so happy Victoria will be able to have that. And they will be close in age. I cannot wait to hold my new daughter, and for V to hold her for the first time. Frankie can't believe he is going to be so outnumbered! :) We are overjoyed and January can't come soon enough!!

Update... Finally!

I am SO overdue for a post! Now there is so much to catch up on...

We were so blessed to spend a week this summer with the Marinelli's during their visit to California. Victoria had a wonderful time playing with all the kids. She was back to napping twice a day just from all the playing!

Then in August Frankie went with the guys to Bonneville and the Peanut and I hung back in so cal to spend time with family and friends. Labor Day weekend we had my brother Justin and his wife Nicole, and also my cousin Mikey and his g/f Tayler visiting for a weekend at the lake. Other than my brief trip to St. Agnes for the wonderful joys of pregnancy, we had a great time together. We cannot believe how fast the summer flew by!

Now here it is October, getting ready for the holidays, and Victoria's 2nd birthday!! What happened to the last 2 years?? Our baby girl is growing up way too fast. And before we know it we'll have a new baby added to the family.

The pregnancy is going well. I am starting to get uncomfortable now. There is no more nausea, but there is still the occasional day of exhaustion. My ultra sound showed some fluid in my kidneys and that is creating some extra pain in the back area. I also have an umbilical hernia that hurts sometimes, and we'll most likely get that repaired after the baby is born. The doctors don't think it will be a problem throughout the pregnancy (other than the continued pain as I get bigger and bigger).

I am SO looking forward to the holidays, this is my favorite time of year...a nd of course, I cannot wait to meet our new little miracle. I thank God every day for my children, my family. I love them more than anything, and am enjoying each and every day, as fast as the time seems to be going!

I will post some prego pics as soon as I get my computer fixed... I am back to my PC now because something went wrong with my Mac, but I so want it back... I have officially made the conversion from PC to Mac! :)

Seth Joseph Lemons

On Tuesday, July 15 2008 at exactly 3:25pm, I had my ear pressed tightly to the door of Room 285 at Saddleback Hospital Women's Center.

My sister-in-law Laycee was giving birth to her first child- a beautiful baby boy named Seth Joseph Lemons.  8lbs 7oz, 19.5" The waiting room was silent until we heard that first cry through the door, then it was screams of excitement and tears all at once.  I am so happy I was able to be there and see it all first-hand.  He is such a precious sight....

God has blessed you with the most incredible gift He gives us. Love that child unconditionally, and pray for him daily.

Fourth of July

Wow, I have really been lagging on my blogging! Time to catch up...

Our 4th of July was a blast! My brother Justin and his wife Nicole came to visit for a 4-day weekend. We spent each day on the lake- Millerton Lake for 2 days, then Shaver Lake. The Spencers also came to Millerton with us and we all had a great time!

~ Romance at Hume Lake ~

Romance Conference at Hume Lake June 26-29th, 2008.  Something Frankie and I will never forget. It was the most relaxing, romantic and rejuvenating time we have ever spent together.  We left Thursday the 26th, only to arrive to an entourage of Hume Lake staff that immediately greeted us, grabbed all of our luggage and took it up to our room while others served us fresh lemonade and showed us around.  We spent the hour before dinner simply laying in a hammock enjoying the scenery and beautiful weather.  The food was amazing, the speakers unforgettable, and the music phenomenal.  We had picnic lunches in the woods along the streams and on hillsides.  We relaxed by a pool while being served snacks and refreshments.  We enjoyed a love song concert and danced together, we indulged in a 7-course Italian meal for two by candlelight.  And we woke up in the morning to deer outside our window.  AMAZING!  We were so blessed in having the opportunity to enjoy this together and refresh our love for God and each other.  I will email pictures soon.  If any of you are even remotely interested in attending the same conference, we highly recommend it!!  Just ask!

A Day in the Dirt

Saturday was the Rumble to the Summit 2008 ride, so Frankie and some friends met up together to go on this big harley ride of approximately 4,000 bikes.  They ride up past Shaver Lake, have a big bbq up there, listen to live bands, etc all for the Make-A-Wish foundation.  Well V and I drove up to Grandma Nancy's in Shaver to hang out and play and wait for dad to show up.  And oh my, I don't think she has ever been so dirty... the pictures don't do it justice!  She had a blast wandering around, and it was much cooler there than in Fresno.  The most fascinating thing there was, of course, the dirt.  She threw it, sat in it, poured it on top of herself, shared it with Mom, just couldn't get enough of it.  So after the pouring of dirt down the diaper, I decided it was time to call it quits.  We stripped her down to give her a bath, and while the bath was warming up, she figured she'd make a few laps around the deck.  Yup, we had a good day, can't wait for many more dirty days to come this summer!!

Horrible Commercials!

**Barf!**

So of course, as soon as I post a blog about how I'm doing pretty good, not much nausea, etc, then it hits me.  The last few days have been kinda hard.  Constant nausea and very fatigued.  Which I hate that because I feel so unproductive, and it's not like it was the first time- I have a 1 1/2 yr old running around now!  Today it took everything in me just to keep my eyes open.  I feel like I ran a couple of marathons.  And now the nausea- the stinky part is I can't throw up, if I could at least do that, then maybe I would feel better.  

There was a commercial on earlier for a pizza place and I literally had to shut my eyes, I could NOT look at the pizza!  Which is funny, because it made me remember something when I was pregnant with V:  KFC had just come out with their chicken bowls.  And that commercial was on ALL the time!!  If I watched them show that bowl w/ mashed potatoes, and cheese and corn and fried chicken, oh my gosh.... it would for sure send me running into the bathroom.  I would literally change the channel as quick as possible!  Ugh... memories...

Anyways, I guess I'm done with my whine session for now. Hopefully it'll be over at 12 weeks just like it was with V!  Keep your fingers crossed!!

6 Weeks

Well, 6 weeks into Baby #2 and things are good.  I cannot believe it but I already have a tiny pooch!  I haven't had much nausea, only when I let my stomach get close to empty.  So, I'm having to eat constantly throughout the day.  And the evenings I'm going through the same thing I did with Victoria- nothing sounds good for dinner (which is always my favorite meal!).  So I have been eating a lot of oatmeal and cereal for dinner, but hopefully like last time that'll end after the 1st trimester.  Other than that, I have been really tired.  Wanting to take naps at 10:00 in the morning, and any other time my daughter permits!  :)  

We have our ultrasound scheduled for June 23rd, and that's when we'll get to see a heartbeat, and get a better idea of how far along the baby is.

V's First Trip to the Beach

This last weekend was great!  We took a trip to the coast (Avila Beach, just north of Pismo) and had a blast!  We went with our friends, the Spencers; it was Carrie's 30th birthday.  V absolutely loved the beach!!  We drew in the sand, walked along the shoreline, went on the slide that was on the beach over and over again... it was great.  We shopped the streets of Pismo and got new beach toys, hung out around the pool, walked the pier as V chased the birds, and ate some great fish & chips!

and play some more!!!

Peanut, the Big Sister!

Hello family and friends!

Well, it's official, Victoria Kay is going to be a Big Sister!  We are so excited!  We officially found out yesterday, May 18th.  However I have kinda known for the last week or so... old familiar feelings I guess you could call it.  For those of you who are wondering, (and so many have already asked) no, we are not going to find out the sex.  We are waiting.... again.  That was way too exciting and eventful to miss out on.  (But I'll let you in on a secret, my intuition says it's a boy!)

My rough due date is January 26th.  So I would be considered 4 weeks pregnant right now.

So far, not much morning sickness, but I'm not holding my breath.  Just a lot of fatigue and bathroom trips. 

Frankie and I couldn't be happier about this new addition to our little family.  I will keep the blog updated with how things are going, and of course, with belly pics!  Love to you all!!

The Silvas

V's New Habit

So, my daughter has developed this habit when she wakes up every morning (and from naps even).  She watches as I open her door, and gives me a big smile.  I approach her crib, and she immediately rolls over onto her belly, with her bum in the air.... waiting with anticipation. It's time for her backrub.  Yup, my daughter has to have her back scratched before she gets up.  I've even tried talking to her, "Victoria, good morning sweetie, let's get up and go get some milk..." etc etc.  Nope, she sits there patiently waiting, with a smile on her face.  Oh my cuteness.... these are the amazing little things that I love about being a mom.

My 1st Blog

So finally I have made a blog site... something I have been wanting to do for a while.  

So far this month, things have been great.  On the 3rd we took the boat to the lake with our close friends, the Spencers, and had a great time!  It was our first trip out on the boat this year, and there will be many more to come!  

V's half-birthday is May 9th:  18 months old!  I can't believe time has gone by so fast.  She is getting to be so grown up, such the little lady.  She LOVES all the girly stuff- shoes, jewelry, purses, etc.  (That's my girl!)  

We have a lot coming up in the next couple of weeks.  We are going to Southern California on the 9th to spend some time with family and friends.  We have birthdays, Mother's Day, baby showers, and a trip to Disneyland all within the next 2 weeks!  Fun fun!  I will keep posting news and pictures on a regular basis.  Can't wait for what this summer has in store!!
